Protein Shake and Smoothie Recipes

These protein shakes and smoothies are designed to use with our Formula 1 Protein Powder. All five great flavors can be adapted to the recipes. Note the recipes for making protein bars and puddings!

...............a few hints................
If a blender is not available, use a shaker to mix the shake. The powder is very fine and will lump if stirred.
We have great shakers and portable blenders available for a fraction of the cost sold in stores.
Of course, when shaking, fruit should be eaten "on the side."

**At least 2 oz Herbal Aloe can be substituted for any liquid. Makes the shakes incredibly delicious!
**Use diet drinks instead of sweetened ones when losing weight and then only as a special treat.
**Sweeteners are ok on a limited basis.
**Substitute different cereals, nuts & seeds where desired. Use unsweetened juices to reduce sugar and dilute with water or Herbal Aloe.
**Use peanut butter that has no sugar added (labeled "natural").
**Use frozen fruit for a cold, yummy shake.
**For thicker shakes, more ice can be added.
**"Beef up" any shake with our Performance Protein Powder. It's odorless, tasteless, fat free and can be added to just about anything!
**Add our High Protein Low Carb Fruit Drinks to your smoothie for great taste and 24 grams of protein!

IMPORTANT: Pineapple, grape juice & banana should be used sparingly while losing weight. For those with diabetes or hypoglycemia and yo-yoing blood sugar, these should be avoided. Ok for maintenance.

  Mix together:			¼ c butter			8 oz carob chips
  ½ c + 1 T oats			¼ c honey				6 T natural peanut butter
  1 c Formula 1 (any flavor)	½ c Formula 1 (any flavor)		1 tsp vanilla
  ¼ c wheat germ			1 c chopped dates			1 c toasted wheat germ
  ½ c Rice Krispies (or dry		1 c granola (your choice)		1 c Formula 1 (any flavor)
      cereal of choice)

  1 c wheat germ			2 T honey				1 c honey
  1 c chopped roasted peanuts	2 T Formula 1 (any flavor)		Use one or all:
  1 c chopped sunflower seeds					Wheat germ, finely 
  Mix.  Roll into balls & dust	Mix in blender, put in refrig-	chopped nuts, graham
